What you need to know about COSHH and LEV
COSHH Regulations 2002 state that all Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems should be maintained in an efficient state, in good repair, and tested at least every 14 months.
As an employer, in addition to having your LEV systems tested, you must also ensure that regular maintenance checks are carried out and documented.
Air Plants can support you in complying with every requirement of the COSHH Regulations 2002 including LEV testing (in Scotland and throughout the UK) and examination of your LEV system offering repairs or replacements if required.
As specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Systems, Air Plants Dust Extraction Ltd are qualified to undertake the regular inspection and maintenance of your LEV systems in compliance with HSE Guidance (HSG258) and COSHH Regulations 2002 Regulation 9.
For the smooth operation of any dust or fume extraction plant, it is essential to perform routine system maintenance, therefore pre-empting any issues and minimising the risk of breakdown to the safe ventilation of dust and fumes.
A COSHH assessment can identify if there is anything wrong with a system, and regular LEV servicing maintains the system so that it runs effectively. Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) tests should be carried out every 14 months.
COSHH assessments and LEV Testing from experienced, fully trained engineers, ensuring your LEV, dust or fume extraction system operates at it’s best, providing the trouble free reliability that our products are recognised for.
